The ability to find, nurture, and promote outstanding Talent is at the core of a company’s ability to deliver value year-on-year.

Most companies do not make the best of the resources they already have, and when they decide to recruit externally they are often surprised by a simple insight: External recruitment has a less than even chance of success.  Either the candidate turns out to be wrong for the job, demonstrates insufficient performance, or finds that what was promised turns out to be less than what occurs in reality.  As a result many outstanding hired resources leave the company within 12 months.

Enjoin helps its clients augment its critical talent pool by helping to recruit and develop resources internally.  We do this primarily by setting up and conducting high-performance programs in the context of innovation-related efforts.  Talent is thus developed naturally as part of a value creation effort and not as a parallel “academic” program. 

Enjoin further supports key individuals with bespoke counseling that generates results rapidly.  We do not believe in long-term coaching, but an in intensive effort focused on helping the individual take the next developmental (personal and career) step.

We also assess and support cultural cohesion during critical phases in a company’s evolution.  For example, we have supported companies during major acquisitions, mergers and turn-arounds, by interviewing the top cadre and surfacing strategic, organizational, and operational opportunities and risks.  We do this in a way that allows management to know exactly how to take appropriate action and measure its results.  As an integral part of our client work, we coach top management teams to become more productive collectively as part of their strategy development and ensuing performance dialog.

Enjoin, using its networks, will help clients identify external candidates for critical roles, but only after ensuring that the role cannot be filled internally, is adequately defined, and the required support and focus is in place such that an externally hired leader will have the best chance of rapid success.  With our long-term clients, where we understand the talent needs and existing capabilities, we proactively introduce candidates that we are convinced are ideal for the role and can grow in their leadership stature.
